What’s summer without swimming? Our camp has 3 Olympic-sized swimming pools and offers daily swimming lessons! Our program, which follows American Red Cross guidelines, emphasizes water safety—helping campers build their swimming skills while also giving parents the confidence of knowing that their kids are learning to have fun in the pool safely. At the end of the summer, you’ll even get a report card with your child’s swimming progress
At camp, we love to play a variety of sports and games, from classics like baseball, soccer, football, and volleyball to unique recreational activities like gaga. Our campers also enjoy exciting outdoor experiences, including boating. This year, we’re thrilled to highlight our brand-new inflatable game center with mini golf, adding even more fun and adventure to the mix! Led by trained sports specialists, these activities help kids stay active and learn game rules. While having fun on the field, our campers are also learning to practice positive values like respect, perseverance, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
Camp is a place for a child’s imagination and creativity to shine! In addition to arts & crafts activities like painting, campers will also enjoy Music with Patrick, dancing, and drama exercises.
We believe that a great summer camp experience should expand the mind and that’s why every day at camp is full of new discoveries! Campers will have the opportunity to learn about science and nature as they explore our campgrounds and enjoy visits by the incredible animals from Wild Side Zoo.
Campers love weekly events like encounters with animals from the Wild Side Zoo, magic shows, Shabbat celebrations, obstacle courses, and more! We also look forward to special events such as the Day of Caring and Sharing, our 4th of July celebration, Israel Day, and the high-spirited Maccabi Games color wars. These events bring all of our campers together and are always some of our favorite days of the summer!
Each year, we select a theme that we incorporate into our weekly activities. These themes connect with our camp values and provide fun ways for our campers to learn new things and see positivity reflected in the world around them. Some previous camp themes have been “Exploring the World of Stories”— encouraging imagination and a love for reading— and “Around the World”—which celebrated diverse cultures and peace.
This year’s theme at JCC Day Camp is Outdoor Advenures! We are so excited to celebrate the beauty of nature with our camp friends, and there’s no better place to do that than our scenic campgrounds!
We’re excited to provide delicious hot lunches for our campers on non-trip days!

The JCC’s Early Childhood Education Center also offers an indoor summer option for preschool-aged children. The Pilot Preschool Summer Program is an inclusive summer experience that includes both indoor classroom play and outdoor play. We have sprinklers on our playgrounds and offer theme-based fun throughout the day. The program is open to children ages 3 to 5 and takes place at 4 convenient locations including Mid-Island, North Shore, and South Shore school sites.
